My art and writing are two channels I use to express gratitude for all the goodness in my life.  Being creative requires me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new avenues.  When I write and paint from the heart, everything makes sense.  I am grateful for the opportunity to share my joy with you.

Endless Joy

"Do anything, but let it produce joy" ~ Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

For Day 2 of this Three Days, Three Quotes challenge I have chosen one of my favorite quotes from Walt Whitman.  Thank you again, Jane, for for the invite; if you have a chance, be sure to stop by her beautiful blog, View From a French Hillside.  Jane is a gifted photographer {I especially love her still lifes} and her blog is a delight to visit.  She also has another blog, The Art Card Press, where she offers cards and prints featuring her incredible photography. Another blog I enjoy is Basildonkitchens, which includes a lovely mix of pictures and words.  Connie, I'd love it if you would join the challenge with me.

Do anything, but let it produce joy.

There are so many ways to produce joy, but I love the simple ways best.  Here are a few of my favorites:

:: surprising a friend with a handmade gift :: greeting my husband at the door each night with a kiss :: calling my daughters to tell them I love them :: reading a book on a lazy afternoon :: spending time making special meals, imagining how much it will be enjoyed by loved ones :: painting, always the painting :: giving the Popster {our mischievous Yorkie} a treat when he has been well behaved :: singing, both alone and with my chorus :: creating memories with friends and family...

...This list goes on and on. This is my creed, how I try to live my life.

Do anything, but let it produce joy.
