My art and writing are two channels I use to express gratitude for all the goodness in my life.  Being creative requires me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new avenues.  When I write and paint from the heart, everything makes sense.  I am grateful for the opportunity to share my joy with you.

This Week {Picture+Words}

Evening out with friends at Carnegie Hall {thank you, Alan Cumming, for a fantastic concert}
Studio time every afternoon, learning the art of collage from Kelly Rae.

This has been a week of productivity, as I finally ease into the rhythm of my days.  Spending time sharing the concept of rhythm with a lovely community of women {thank you, Michelle},  painting, painting, painting, dreaming and realizing.  Catching up and slowing down, appreciating small moments and the quiet contemplations brought on by the inherent stillness that winter brings.

Spending mornings in meditation, journaling and reading this book by Anne Lamott.  Reflecting on prayer and the role it has played in my life.

Loving this quote by Anne:

Prayer means that, in some unique way, we believe we're invited into a relationship with someone who hears us when we speak in silence.

Giving thanks, always.
