Better than a thousand hollow words is one word that brings peace. ~ Buddha
I am not by nature a political person but this year's elections trouble me deeply because of the candidates' propensity for adding fuel to an already combustible climate of anger, ignorance and hate. I am sadden by the path our leaders are traveling, the lack of respect and disregard for each other and the citizens they hope to lead one day.
Am I making sense? I fear I am not as articulate as I would like to be.
I believe that words carry enormous power, don't you? Power that literally alters the energy of our universe.
Whatever happened to the adage, think before you speak? When did courtesy and respect fall out of favor? It's time for a renaissance. It's time to say no to hollow words and say yes to...
Tolerance. Civility. Honor. Kindness. Reverence.
Perhaps I am naive, but I still believe in the Golden Rule.
Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
