Hi.

I am an artist, writer and chronicler of small moments.  My work is created with love and infused with joy.  I'm so glad you are here!

I purchased a new lens this week, a Lensbaby Sol45.  I have fallen in love with Lensbaby's line of creative lenses and was eager to try this one out.  This purchase coincided with my desire to start a new photography project as well.  While I had begun the year doing a photojournal titled Project 365, I found it difficult to keep up with and stopped after about four months.  It was while driving to my piano lesson that I came up with the idea to photograph barns.  I am lucky to live in a part of Connecticut where barns are plentiful and each are beautiful in their own way.

"I would not a bit mind sleeping in the cool grass in summer, and when winter came on sheltering myself by the warm close-thatched rick, or under the penthouse of a great barn, provided I have love in my heart."  - Oscar Wilde

I carry a special place in my heart for barns, for not only do I currently live in a renovated barn but 37 years ago I was married in one!  At the time I was not really pleased that my home church was housed in a barn (I dreamt of walking down a long aisle in a church with stained glass windows), but now I love that it was.

I am really excited about my new project as well as learning how to master my new lens.  Have you begun any new photography projects lately?  I'd love to know!
